Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty was born 1 October, 1995 in Berkeley, California, USA. She is best known as an actor, having appeared in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004), and Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she herself has taken up. As a young girl, Asia Argento made her acting debut in Sergio Cittis Sogni e bisogni. She had a leading role in the film as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo which was released in 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. Red Wood Pigeon, directed also by Moretti in 1989, played her role as Nanni Moretti's little daughter. Close Friends (written and directed by Michele Placido) was when Asia's acting career took off. She played roles that ranged from being very young and then becoming mature. Cannes International Film Festival was a huge achievement for the film. She has made three films with her dad, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome, and Phantom of the opera. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she's co-produced alongside her father, the other two being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's deeply absorbed and dramatic style was well-used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato A Nozze. In 1993, she played a part in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di Vista where she portrayed Arianna who was a disabled girl. This was an intricate and difficult part that earned her the David di Donatello award for the best actress . Also, she was a part of the part in the international cast of Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. The year 1995 was the first time she starred alongside Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion in the film Peter Del Monte. This part earned her a David di Donatello (for the top actor) as well as the Grolla de Oro. Asia was the first director she met in 1994 by directing two short films. Prospettive. In 1996, Asia directed a documentary about her father. in 1998 Asia made Abel/Asia (2000) the award-winning film about Abel Ferrara. Asia directed her debut feature film Scarlet Diva (2000). The film was made in collaboration with Asia and screenwriter/actor Linda McCartney. In May of 2000, the film was released both in Italy and across the world. The film won a prize at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, Brooklyn. Anna Lou was her first born daughter in 2001. After having directed a number of music videos, she got Anna Lou. In 2002, she appeared in The Red Siren by Olivier Megaton alongside Jean-Marc Bar and the action thrilledirected of Rob Cohen, with Vin Diesel. Asia is the creator of numerous short stories that were released in several magazines.
